When it comes to mastering the uses of POR together with PARA in Spanish, there's a particularly simple, yet potent approach that can help you in 95 to 98% of the circumstances and much more.

These are typically all of the instances when PARA is utilized. When do you use POR? In all the other circumstances. Just that!
